NELSON LEANDRO CARCHI TIGRE

My name is Nelson Leandro Carchi Tigre, I was born in 1981 in the Tomebamba parish, Paute canton, Azuay province. I have five brothers and one sister, of which I am the first. My parents are José Carchi and María Tigre. My family is currently based in Sucúa Canton, Morona Santiago province.

I must emphasize that my sister is currently a contemplative nun, she belongs to the Order of the Immaculate Conception, a monastery located in the Sucúa canton.

My childhood developed in the rural zone of the province of Azuay, primary studies carried out in the fiscal school "Felipe Serrano" Sacre sector, secondary studies up to the fourth year in the National Technical College "Guachapala" in the canton of the same name and I later culminated in the Educational Unit "Dr. Camilo Gallegos Domínguez" in the city of Macas, obtaining the title of Technical Bachelor in Forestry Agriculture.

In 2010, at the age of 29, I learned about the Neocatechumenal Way, being born in the first community. In 2012, I was sent to the Redemptoris Mater Seminary "Virgen de las Angustias y San Miguel" of the Archdiocese of Granada in Spain. In 2013, I entered the "Santa María la Mayor" Seminary of the Apostolic Vicariate of Puyo, studying philosophy at the "Cardenal Echeverría" Franciscan Faculty of Philosophy and Theology, endorsed by the "Antonianum" Pontifical University of Rome and the Catholic University of Basin. At the end of the "Philosophical Triennium" I carried out the mission on the Amazon border (Ecuador-Peru). Due to a traffic accident, I left the diocesan seminary for a period of approximately five years. In February 2022, I entered the "San Pedro Claver" Redemptoris Mater Seminary of the Apostolic Vicariate of Esmeraldas. I am currently studying Theology at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador.

I appreciate your generosity and ask you to pray for me.
